چکیده	Poly(4-vinylpyridinium tribromide) is an excellent catalyst for the protection of aldehydes as 1,1-diacetate derivatives, by using acetic anhydride under solvent-free conditions. This method has some advantages such as mild reaction conditions, good to excellent yields and use of non metallic catalyst.
