چکیده	Haplothrips aliakbarii sp. nov. (Phlaeothripidae: Phlaeothripinae) is described and illustrated from Ilam Province, western Iran. This new species was collected on the leaves of oak trees (Quercus brantii). An identification key for Iranian species of Haplothrips is presented.
