3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones and their derivatives have an important role in synthetic organic chemistry and natural products due to their extensive range of biological and pharmacological properties [1]. The numerous procedures for the Biginelli 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one synthesis [2], have been reported in the literature [3-6].
