The study is, evaluating the efficiency of solar irrigation water pumping systems in Iraq and the requirements for their deployment among farmers. The research aims to understand the adoption of solar irrigation technologies by farmers and assess the efficiency of these systems in meeting water needs in Wasit Governorate. The study utilizes quantitative methods to measure study variables and analyze statistical data to determine the impact of different factors on the adoption of solar irrigation technologies. It also includes a review of relevant Arabic literature on renewable energy and solar technology applications in Iraq. The geographical location of the study sample in Wasit Governorate is emphasized, ensuring the relevance and applicability of the findings to the agricultural practices and water supply challenges in the region. The study seeks to provide practical recommendations to enhance the use of solar irrigation technologies in Iraqi agriculture. The research covers various aspects, including the geographical location of the study, quantitative measurement of study variables, and the selection of solar-powered pumps. It also addresses the complexity and divisibility of new ideas, as well as the field study conducted in the rural community of Wasit Governorate. Additionally, the study discusses the challenges faced by Iraq in harnessing its energy resources and the need for sensible energy policies to address power supply and water constraints in rural areas.
