چکیده In the current report, we have introduced a novel electrochemical sensor based on a modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology, for the determination of Dimethyl fumarate (DF). The MIP was assembled on the GCE surface by in-situ electro-polymerization of dopamine (DA) as functional monomer and DF as template molecule. Then the polymerized electrode was washed through an appropriate washing solution. The washing process caused the DF molecules to come out of the MIP texture. The result of this process was the formation of complementary cavities that could rebind to the DF molecule. To improve the erformance of the MIP-based GCE, key parameters, including cycle number, washing, and re-uptake times, were optimized. As well as repeatability, stability, reproducibility, and selectivity were evaluated. To characterize the designed sensor, diverse techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were applied. The linear range of the electrochemical sensor was from 5 to 1000 ոM, with a limit of detection (LOD) value of 1.6 ոM. The proposed sensor was successfully used to determine DF in a serum sample.
