This study investigates the impact of feedback on language learning, focusing on both learners' perceptions and their learning outcomes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, and performance assessments, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the feedback process. The surveys were designed to capture a broad range of learner experiences and attitudes towards feedback. Participants were asked to rate various aspects of the feedback they received, including its timeliness, specificity, and constructiveness. Interviews were then conducted to delve deeper into these perceptions, allowing learners to express their thoughts and feelings about how feedback influenced their language learning journey. These qualitative insights were invaluable in understanding the nuanced ways feedback can impact motivation, confidence, and overall language proficiency. Performance assessments were also utilized to objectively measure the outcomes of feedback on language learning. By comparing pre- and post-feedback performance, the study was able to identify clear correlations between learners' perceptions of feedback usefulness and actual improvements in language proficiency. The findings indicate that learners overwhelmingly view feedback as a crucial component of language acquisition. There was a strong positive correlation between the perceived usefulness of feedback and enhanced language skills. The study highlights the critical role of timely, specific, and constructive feedback in the language learning process. Effective feedback helps learners identify their strengths and weaknesses, provides guidance for improvement, and boosts their confidence. These elements are essential for fostering a supportive learning environment and ultimately improving language learning outcomes.
