This study examines the application of corpus linguistics to enhance vocabulary instruction in language education. By leveraging extensive and representative language corpora, the research aims to identify high-frequency vocabulary and common collocations that can inform and improve instructional practices. Corpus linguistics, with its focus on analyzing large collections of real-world text, provides valuable insights into the frequency and usage patterns of words and phrases. This study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze corpus data, aiming to pinpoint the vocabulary items that are most beneficial for learners. By examining how words are used in various contexts, the research identifies which vocabulary and collocations are essential for learners to master for effective communication. The study's methodology involves a thorough analysis of corpus data to determine which vocabulary items should be prioritized in instruction. This data-driven approach ensures that the vocabulary taught is both relevant and practical, reflecting actual language use. The findings suggest that incorporating corpus-based vocabulary instruction into language education can lead to significant improvements in learners' lexical knowledge and overall language proficiency. Results from the study indicate that students exposed to corpus-based vocabulary instruction demonstrate a better grasp of high-frequency vocabulary and collocations, enhancing their ability to use language more fluently and accurately. Consequently, the study underscores the potential of corpus linguistics as a powerful tool in developing effective vocabulary teaching strategies that align with real-world language use.
