The importance of academic vocabulary in ESP programs cannot be overstated since it provides students with the linguistic skills required to comprehend and accurately use discipline-specific terminology. Although academic wordlists have been investigated in a variety of scientific disciplines no research has been conducted in the last few years on academic words used in EdTech. There is a gap in this field, and this research aims to fill it. As part of this corpus-based study, two primary objectives will be achieved: a) developing a list of academic words frequently used in educational technology research articles (RAs), Additionally, the word list will be compared with the distribution of high frequency words in Coxhead's (2000) Academic Word List (AWL) and West's (1953) General Service List (GSL) to determine their extent of coverage within the RAs. An extensive corpus of 1500 research articles will be compiled and analyzed, which contains 7.7 million words, spanning ten main areas of educational technology. The data will be analyzed using four computer programs: Wordsmith, AntCorGen, Antwordprofiler, and RANGE. Our study will use lemma as unit of counting and has 6 criteria for word selection (minimum frequency, frequency ratio, range ratio, dispersion, discipline measure, and special meaning). The following outcomes will be achieved by completing this research: 1. Creating a comprehensive, concise, and simple Academic Wordlist for educational technology. In order to write, communicate, and understand scientific papers successfully, it is important to have a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and terms in educational technology. It is recommended that educational technology wordlists be implemented for teaching and research purposes.
