چکیده

Abstract A field experiment was carried out in the field of the College of Agriculture - University of Wasit in Wasit Province, located within latitude 30-32 north and longitude 45-49 east, in the autumn season of the year 2022 AD, with the aim of knowing the extent of the effect of chemical fertilizers (phosphorus) on the physiological performance of the roots of different varieties of corn bile and in different ways and determine the best way to give the best result and identify the extent of growth achieved by varying varieties under the conditions of the current experiment. The experiment was applied according to the randomized complete block design (RCBD) and in the arrangement of split-plots with four replications, as the main plots included phosphorus treatments, soil addition as recommended, 50% soil addition before planting + 50% after 6 weeks of planting, 50% soil addition before planting + 50% paper addition in addition to the comparison treatment. While the secondary plot included the genotypes (cadiz, fito, zb, forat) (3) and with four replications, all the agreements between the workers’ treatments are distributed randomly between each sector, and thus the total experimental units became 64 experimental units with dimensions (6 * 7) at a rate of 8 lines for the experimental unit with a distance 60 cm between one line and another, and the distance between one wall and another (25) cm. Data were collected according to the analysis of variance table. The averages were tested according to the least significant difference LSD test at the probability level of 0.05. The most important results are summarized as follows: 1. The p3 treatment was significantly excelled in most of the studied traits, as it gave the highest averages in each of the following traits, plant height, leaf area, and root inclination angle, where the results were 177.2 m, 523.2 cm, and 0.77%, respectively. 2. The ZB cultivar was significantly excelled in most of the studied traits, as it gave the highest averages in both plant height and leaf area, the highest percentage of female flowering, the highest percentage of male flowering, and the highest percentage of phosphorus. 3. The interaction treatment did not take part in the experiment, as it was noted that there was no significant effect of the interaction treatments on most of the studied traits
