Abstract

Abstract We have used a charmonium model to obtain the energy shift of low lying states of charmonium with Cornell, and Killingbeck potentials on noncommutative space. Hence, first, we calculated the energy by using the charmoniumof the ground state and Cornell potential of excited states in noncommutative space. With the use of the trial wave function for low lying states, we found the results are proportional to the two-degree function of the noncommutative (NC) parameter. By comparing the results with experimental hyperfine splitting for cc¯, the amount of NC parameter is obtained. It is shown that, at the lowest order of perturbation, the ground state acquires an energy shift which is proportional to the square of the noncommutative length scale.
