Abstract

The kinetic experiments of Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) over an industrial Co/K catalyst are carried out in a micro-fixed-bedreactor under the conditions as follows: temperature of 483–513K, pressure of 8bar, H2/CO feed ratio of 1–3, and spacevelocity of 132700–5200h-1. The optimal amountof catalyst containing 15wt.%Co/10wt.%K/Al2O3was prepared using impregnationprocedure.The combined enol/carbide mechanism asthe rate-pcontrolling stepgives the most plausible kinetic modelamong the ninedifferent modelstested.The activation energies for optimal kineticmodel and power law equation were obtained 111.5kJ/moland 100 kJ/mol, respectively.
