Haplothrips zagrosi sp.n. is described from Iran based on specimens collected on grape leaves infected with grape leafhopper (Arboridia kermanshah Dlabola). Diagnostic char-acters and illustrations for the new species are provided. It is similar to H. flavitibia and distinguishing character states are discussed.
