Abstract

Fine photocatalyst powders often show high activity but remain difficult to recover, reuse, and protect from interfacial charge losses. Here, a recoverable Fe3O4-FeWO4-rGO (FO-FW-rGO) core-wall-skin micro-reactor was constructed via stepwise interface engineering to integrate magnetic handling, visible-light redox activity, and external charge/adsorption regulation into a single particle, rather than a randomly mixed ternary powder. Structural, morphological, XPS, VSM, BET, and DRS analyses confirmed a Fe3O4 recovery core, FeWO4 photoactive wall, and rGO-rich conductive skin. Under visible light (λ > 420 nm), FO-FW-rGO removed ∼98% of pramipexole (PRX) within 35 min and followed pseudo-first-order kinetics with [Math Processing Error] = 0.1033 min⁻¹ and [Math Processing Error] ≈ 6.7 min, outperforming FO, FW, and FO-FW controls. Probe and scavenger tests indicated dominant [Math Processing Error] /electron-transfer and [Math Processing Error] pathways, with secondary [Math Processing Error] and minor [Math Processing Error] roles. The catalyst retained 81.0% efficiency after 15 cycles, supporting an integrated performance-deployability advantage for visible-light pharmaceutical remediation under operationally relevant recovery conditions.
