Abstract

The present study aims to develop an electrochemical sensor using the molecularly imprinted polymer technique by modifying the glassy carbon electrode with silver loaded carboxylated multiwalled carbon nanotube nano particles as a sublayer. This sensor is designed to detect regorafenib with high sensitivity and selectivity. Resorcinol and ortho phenylene diamine was used as functional monomers. The mixture of DMF, Et-OH, and HNO3 in a 1:1:3 ratio at an optimized time 25 min was used as extracting solvent. Analysis FESEM. EDS, AFM and FTIR were used to verify the accuracy of the proposed sensor synthesis at every stage of the process. The MIP modified electrode exhibited two linear responsiveness relationship throughout the concentration range of 0.00005 to 0.004 μM and 0.006 to 0.05 μM with I(μA) = 3300.4[REG] + 13.759 and I(μA) = 195.79[REG] + 29.19 equations and correlation coefficient (R2 ) values of R² = 0.9252 and R² = 0.9519 respectively. The detection limit was determined to be 0.006 nM. Imprinting factor was calculated as 9.36. The performance of the sensor in biological fluids such as blood serum was investigated and significant results were obtained.
