Abstract

A screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) based on a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technique has been modifed to provide detection of erlotinib (ERL). For this purpose, the pyrogallol (PG) monomer in the presence of ERL as an analyte has been electropolymerized on the SPCE surface. The introduced sensor has been characterized through diferential pulse voltammetry (DPV), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and feld emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) methods. The modifed SPCE allowed ERL detection in a linear range of 0.05–800 nM with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.016 nM. The applicability of modifed SPCE was successfully investigated in serum samples. Lastly, for validation, sensor performance was compared with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The introduced sensor exhibited good application in the biomedical feld
