In this thesis, a new magnetic catalyst (Fe3O4-TMS-Arginine) for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds using the Claisen–Schmidt condensation is reported. The produced arginine magnetic catalyst shown excellent catalytic activity and was readily recovered and reused several times after being easily isolated from the reaction mixture by an external magnetic field.
