In recent years, Carbon-based-materials due to their unique properties such as different shapes with tunable sizes, high surface area, low cost and availability, have been wildly used for a diversity of applications and have shown good potential for producing heterogeneous catalysis [1-3]. In this work, the heterogeneous nanocatalyst, oxalic acid- natural asphalt sulfonate was synthesized using sulfonated natural asphalt. For the characterization of the synthesized catalyst used of different techniques such as FT-IR, TGA, XRD, ICP, BET, EDS and SEM. Then the activity of the catalyst successfully examined in the for the synthesis of 2-amino-4-H-pyran derivatives (scheme 1). The obtained products were identified using FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR techniques.
