One of the suitable methods for removing heavy metals from water is using surface adsorption process. In this study Polyaniline/polystyrene (PAn/PS) composite was prepared in the aqueous solution by polymerization of styrene and aniline using potassium iodate (KIO3) and ammonium peroxy disulfate ((NH4)2S2O8) as oxidant in the presence of surfactive dopant sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (DBSNa). In this research, capability of separating Cd(II) ions was studied. The results indicate that, removal percentage increases by increasing contact time and increasing pH of solution.
