چکیده

Lateral displacement of structures during earthquakes is the most important issue in the ruins of structural and nonstructural elements. With regard to the change of engineers design based on resistance to performance base design, the significance of precise estimate move in the workforce than before. In designing of buildings against earthquake, building is permitted to experience plastic deformation in sever earth quakes. So lateral forces can be considered less than forces that are required for keeping structure in elastic region. The structures designed based on this method, show Significant plastic behavior and Their strength and deformation can not be determined with elastic models. In this paper, after nonlinear analysis of moment and braced frames, their displacement is investigated and for enhancement of current methods suggestions is presented.
