Its pessimistic and also sarcastic view toward the destiny of man is a harsh criticism on the technological progress that is going to occur. According to the novel, this progress stops at a point when stability is achieved; in other words, the politicians conduct it in a way to gain stability. Meanwhile, Heidegger provides a distinct modern definition of the notion of technology and the way we look at it and what it really is. According to Heidegger , technology is related to truth, something that is not found in this novel.
