Abstract

This research introduces a novel pipette tip-micro solid phase extraction technique using innovative adsorbents for highly sensitive detection of common antihypertensive medications, amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide, and captopril. The method utilizes metal organic framework, derived Cu and N-doped carbon hexagonal nanostructures, which were synthesized in various morphologies such as nanorods, nanoparticles, and nanoplates by controlling the doped nitrogen atoms content. The method was optimized using a chemometrics method BoxBehnken Design. The method shows analytical performance with low limit of detection, wide linear ranges (0.05–100.00 ng mL− 1 ), high correlation coefficients (R ≥ 0.9994), improved precision, high accuracy, and a high pre-concentration factor (38.20, 35.84 and 30.80 for Hydrochlorothiazide, amlodipine, and captopril).
