Abstract

Abstract Cultural exchanges in general, and publication of any thought or idea, depend on different factors like, origin and destination, agents or carriers, and direction or obstacles. Silk Road as one of the main routes in connecting east and west of modern world and with minor routes, approximately has connected the whole developed world of that time together for 2000 years. Businessmen, in addition to commercial goods, have exchanged culture and civilization of wide lands of that time so that some have considered the name of » Silk Road« colonial and have called it » culture Road«. Many words and terms of Persian language are also used during the land or sea direction of this road. Buddhism or Mani religion was transferred through this road to central Asia and China. A great deal of cultural achievements have been transferred and published between east and west through this road. This paper is to probe the role of Silk Road in publication of cultural and civil achievements among countries which are on the given route, especially Iran and India.
