Abstract

In this project, the applicability of the modified cockle shell (CS) was examined as an environmentally friendly and economical bio-based sorbent The ability of CSs to effectively absorb inorganic and organic species has been proven in several studies. Numerous articles have used calcinated and carbonized CSs to capture carbon dioxide, water pollutants, metal ions, and so on. Herein, to increase the absorption efficiency of CS, the CSs were modified after thermal pyrolysis with CDs and used as a potent adsorbent to extract antiemetic drugs from urine and pharmaceutical tablets.
