چکیده In December 2019, multiple unexplained pneumonia cases were reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The World Health Organization (WHO) named it as a Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Health professionals and nurses are at a high risk of getting the infection and the source of transmission in the community. The study objectives are to assess nurses and health professionals' knowledge and practices about COVID-19 and identify the association between variables, their experience, practices, and COVID-19. The study was launched in Kurdistan Region /Iraq from 1.4.2020 to 1.8. 2020. The sample size was 300 nurses and health professionals collected via the online using snowball application form style. The questionnaire consisted of three main parts (part one socio-demographic, part two knowledge about COVID -19 and part three practices for prevention from COVID-19). The majority of Nurses and Health professionals had good knowledge of COVID-19, representing 37.7%, while 27.3% had insufficient knowledge. They also had good practices about COVID-19, which represented 45.7%, and 25.3% had low practices. There was a significant relationship between their variables, practices, knowledge, and COVID-19. The majority of Nurses and Health professionals had good knowledge and practices about COVID-19, while some of them had fair and low knowledge and practices. There was a significant association between their variables, practices, knowledge, and COVID-19.
